Wigan Warriors V Catalan Dragons

On Sunday afternoon, our children participated in the Dream Team Experience when they became mascots for the Catalan Dragons. Once again, the children had a fantastic time and even bumped into some players in the tunnel prior to the game. It was also exciting to share in the celebrations for St George’s Day.
Everyone had a great afternoon in the sunshine and we look forward to another experience in a few weeks against Salford Red Devils.

On Friday 5th February, a number of children from Reception to Year 6 were delighted to be included in the ‘Dream Team’ experience at the opening match of the season for the Wigan Warriors. The match, against Catalan Dragons, was televised live on Sky Sports and was attended by more than 13,000 fans.
Prior to kick off, 34 children escorted the players from both teams onto the field whilst the remaining 37 children waved an enormous flag in the centre of the pitch. At half time, all of the children and their siblings were invited to do a lap of the pitch and to wave to the crowds. Although the weather was disappointing, the children’s spirits were very high and a wonderful time was had by all!
